Tayrona National Park

Situated on the Caribbean coast northeast of Santa Marta, the pristine sandy white beaches, vast unspoilt coastline and the lush mountain landscape of Tayrona National Park is a feast for the senses. From beach bummers and romatic couples to families and adventurers, no one will be disappointed!

Tyrona is a bird watcher's paradise. The dense forests and lush woods here offer unlimited opportunities for hiking trips, too. Besides, you'll be thrilled at the sight of the waves crashing against the white boulders. Active travelers can spend time snorkeling, while romantic couples will enjoy leisurely walks along the beaches.

Explore the virgin tropical forest and enjoy spotting the numerous species of mammals, birds and reptiles. The principle access to the park is via Cañaverales, and you can either take a bus or rent a car from Santa Marta. Most hotels in the area arrange tours to the park. So, check out with your hotel.
