Tunnels of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

These underground tunnels are located beneath the streets of Moose Jaw. Explore the two separate tunnels and learn about Canada's history in a story-telling-style. While one of the tunnels narrates the age old story of the infamous Al Capone's visits to Moose Jaw in the 1920s, the other tells the compelling story of Chinese immigration to Canada. There's an array of multimedia, animation and special effects to make tour more interesting and engaging.

These tunnels are rumored to have been dug by the Chinese in the late 1800s, and used during the 1920s prohibition years to allow smugglers to smuggle liquor and evade capture. Moose Jaw earned the name "Little Chicago" during this period! The tunnels are open to visitors year round except on Christmas day. Besides these tunnels, there are plenty of other attractions showcasing the Moose Javian history.
